GPU blocksKategorienGraphics card waterblocks, so-called GPU waterblocks, have to face many challenges. Besides the GPU core itself many more components on the graphics card, such as the VRAM or VRM modules, are also cooled by the waterblock. Especially in Multi-GPU systems multiple waterblocks are connected via Multi-GPU connector pieces to allow adequate cooling of the expensive graphics card array. GPU waterblocks mainly consist of a finely machined copper cooling plate and a plastic top plate. When replacing the stock air-cooler with a waterblock the graphics card can be overclocked much more safely at stable and lower temperatures.
